Another day another Google success! If your blog has a feeder there is a great chance it will be listed on Blogsearch.google.com. This system is awesome, offering ultra quick indexing and updated on an ongoing basis. The system is forever scouring the internet for new feeds, new posts and new blogs to build upon the massive access system already available.
The system has been live since June 2005, and offers a complimentary service to the traditional search engine businesses. Contrary to popular belief the service will list blogs from all sources, although there is a suspicion that “Blogger” blogs may be a little higher up the pecking order (Blogger is owned by Google).
The service itself could not be simpler, type in a subject, word, phrase, etc and let Google bring the information to you - in effect a blog dedicated search engine. Google also offer a very useful alert / feed system to keep you in touch with the latest happenings in subjects of your choice.
While there were those who argued that Google would fail in the blogging arena, due to their impartiality (they own “Blogger”), the doubters have been proved wrong. The blog service continues to go from strength to strength, with personal expression at the centre of Google’s long standing philosophy. Whether you are looking to get your blog listed, or looking for subject matter, the service is excellent.
